Arluk Outfitters is a Newfoundland hunting and angling outfitter on the island's west coast, near Gros Morne National Park.

Our camps and lodges sit in wilderness reached by helicopter and, in some places, by ATV. We focus on guided moose hunting and on fly fishing for Atlantic salmon and brook trout.

Guided hunts from remote lodges and overnight tent camps, planned around how you want to hunt: from a stand, a ground blind, by boat or on foot.

The Arluk difference

Remote, and ready for it.

The country we hunt and fish is wild. Getting guests into it, and looking after them there, is what we do every day.

Access: Our camps and lodges sit in wilderness reached by helicopter and, in some places, by ATV.
Helicopters: Two dedicated helicopters carry guests and gear. Helicopters also help bring meat out after a hunt.
Guides: Hunts are guided one-on-one, or with two hunters to a guide, and planned with you each morning over a hot breakfast.
Camp: Meals prepared by our own cooks, and a warm place to sleep at the end of every day.

Arrival at the basecamp

Some guests fly into Deer Lake (YDF); others take the Marine Atlantic ferry to Port aux Basques and drive to the basecamp. If you fly, we offer a pickup service that takes you from Deer Lake to the basecamp.
The flight in

The next morning you are driven to the helicopter for the flight to your lodge or tent camp.
The hunt

Every day starts with a hot breakfast while you and your guide plan the hunt together. Then you head out.
Back at camp

At the end of the day there is a hot meal and a place to rest, whether you are at a lodge or a tent camp.
The way out

When your trip ends you are flown out, then driven to your hotel or the airport.

Wilderness accommodations

Sleep in the country you came for.

Inside a heated white tent: a wood stove, camp cots and a table laid out for the evening.

Tent camps

Overnight tent camps put you closer to the hunt. The tent is set up before you arrive, and most meals are prepared at the camp, which has a propane stove and a cook station.
